The Smoke Rise Tennis Club (SRTC), residents only, is one of the gems of the Smoke Rise community, offering play on six har-tru courts at our main facility and four hard courts on Sleepy Hollow Road. A family-oriented Club, our focus is on engaging members of all ages and skill levels in a wide range of tennis activities for health and enjoyment. And, with our har-tru courts lighted for night play, the fun doesn’t stop at the SRTC when the sun goes down.
For adult members, we offer competitive clinics, beginner-friendly adult tennis camps, tennis socials, a Friday-night mixed-doubles round robin and a variety of tournaments. For kids, we create a fun and challenging environment to learn the fundamentals of tennis and provide opportunities for competitive play. We maintain a busy schedule of junior activities, including ongoing summer clinics and summer camp for children ages 5 and older,as well as team tennis for kids ages 12 and older who wish to advance their game and play competitively for high school, USTA, and even college programs.
The Club’s tennis pro, Dan Scheider has experience teaching individuals of all ages and ability levels. He is a Certified Tennis Instructor (PTR) and a former Division II NCAA athlete who is committed to fostering a love of tennis while maintaining a welcoming, high-energy and positive environment.
